The common experiences with our children and the moments that we dealt exclusively with them, are key factors in the healthy development of their psychological profile. In the long run, it also helps them in their overall health, a healthy mind and body!
They may not remember every detail of their childhood, but they do remember and feel alive the shared experiences that brought the family closer, doing creative things together!
Children keep alive in their memory the moments when they feel that they have your absolute attention and you are there only for them! There are many ways to do things with them and many ideas, but kids also have a lot of fun playing with their hands! So why not give them pleasant memories by creating recipes with them that in addition to the fun of the story, to teach them healthy ways to make snacks! From production to consumption!
Oatmeal Bars
BASIC MATERIALS (for about 10-15 bars)
-2 cups oats
-1/2 cup almond butter or peanut butter
-1/2 cup maple syrup
-3-4 tbsp. from the selection materials (see below)
-1/2 etc. cinnamon
SELECTION MATERIALS (we choose whichever we want!)
-drops of dark chocolate (can be replaced with white or milk chocolate)
-almonds, pistachios, pumpkin seeds
-dried fruits (cranberries, goji berries, raisins, etc.)
-linseed, chia seeds
RECIPE EXECUTION:
1) Put oil glue in a square or rectangular pan and leave it aside. The size will depend on how high we want our bars to be.
2) Put the oats in a large bowl.
3) In a small saucepan put the maple syrup to boil on low heat. Once the first bubbles start, take it off the heat and throw it in the bowl with the oats, adding our butter and the ingredients of our choice.
4) Mix quickly because the cooler the mixture, the harder it will be to mix.
5) Transfer the mixture to the pan and press it hard to cover the entire surface. We put our pan in the fridge for no appetizer and then with a knife we cut our bars.
Tip: At room temperature they can be stored for up to 5 days in an airtight container, while in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
